NYSC 2021 Batch ‘C’ Camp Registration Guide & Requirements: This is to inform the general public that National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Camp Registration Date, Stages, Camp Requirements and Guidelines for all 2021 Prospective Corps Members is out online. AfriEdu Team–This is to inform all 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 Prospective corps members that the Online Printing of Call Up Letters has commenced and also the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the requirements and guidelines for each stages of registration at the camp nationwide.

All Prospective 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 Corp Members are going to Orientation camp on Wednesday, 24th November, 2021.

Below are the requirements for the registration at the camp for all prospective corp members:
(a) Original Call-up Letter or Call-up Letter printed on-line
(b) Statement of Result endorsed by authorized officer with authentic signature.
(c) School Identity Card, including traveling Passport for Foreign-trained graduates.
(d) Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and Optometrists are to produce evidence of Registration with their Professional Bodies.
(e) Prospective Corps members should go to Camp with Functional Account Number and Bank Verification Number (BVN) to facilitate online payment of entitlements.
(f) In addition, each prospective corps member MUST present Certificate of Fitness from a Government or Military Hospital showing his/her health status before he/she will be registered and admitted for the orientation course.
(g) Arrangement has been made to pay the sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N1,500) as Transport allowance in the Camp. Also the Sum of One Thousand Naira (N1,000) shall be paid to you as Local Transport Allowance. The above allowance are to be collected at the orientation camps of your state of deployment.
(h) You are required to take to the Camp your pillow and pillow case, mosquito nets, bed sheets, plates, cutlery, bucket, drinking cup and torchlight for your personal convenience.
(i) You are prohibited from bringing automobiles, motorcycles, e.t.c to camps.

As the Orientation Course date approaches all PCM’s are to note that all kits items would be made available to them free of charge on arrival at their respective Orientation Camps.

Similarly, deployment, relocation and internal posting of Corps Members are treated in accordance with laid down policy and do not attract any fee.

Prospective and Serving Corps Members are hereby advised to beware of fraudsters with mischievous intentions that may want to lure them into parting with some money under the guise of rendering such services.

NYSC is using this medium to reiterate its commitment to the welfare and security of all Corps Members nationwide.

NOTE: All PCMs that graduated from Mono/Polytechnics are hereby informed that their National Diploma (ND) certificate will be presented with other relevant documents as precondition for Camp Registration at the Orientation Camps.

Below are the registration Stages in the camp and the guidelines:

Stage One:

At the Gate: Right at the gate that allows entrance into the camp, the camp security men would demand you show them your “Call-up Letter“; when you show them, they will search your luggage and, depending on the method adopted by your camp management, give you a tag number.

Stage Two

Bed Space/Hostel: From the entrance gate, proceed to the second registration point where you would be allocated a hostel and bed space. At this stage, they would collect the tag number, that is, if any was given to you by the gate security men, and ask you to write your name; after which a bed space would be allocated to you.
After taking out the camp required documents, locate your bed space and drop your luggage(at owners risk) and proceed to the next stage 3.

Stage Three

Verification: At this stage you would be required to provide the original of the following documents (Of course you must have made about six photo copies for each of):
Call-up letter, Statement of result, Green card, School I.D card and the Medical certificate of fitness.

After verification and confirmation, then proceed to stage 4.

Stage Four

Bio-metric Registration: At this stage, they will take your thumb print; if match with the one you did at cyber café. They will cross check your information; if everything matched, then they will determine the platoon you belong. And you will be given, “Camp Corps Member Registration Slip” and Temporary I.D, Certificate format, Performance report form, and Bio-data form.

Locate the photo copy centre and make two photocopies of the slip, and keep the slip for further use.
Check the last digit number in your state code. It ranges from, 0 to 9.

0 is platoon 10;
1 is platoon 1;
2 is platoon 2;
3 is platoon 3
.
.
.
9 is platoon 9.

Stage Five

Platoon: All platoon will be directed to gather at different locations.
Your platoon officer will be there to receive you.
Locate your platoon with the camp corps member registration slip, Green Card, Call up letter, statement of result, to get your file, Meal ticket, and NYSC Kits.

Stage Six 

Bank Account Opening: At this stage all PCMs would be required to open a new bank account…

Stage Seven

First parade:
“Pam…papa pam…; pam papa pam…; pi…po…pi…po…­pam…papa paaaaaah” when you hear this sound from military trumpet, usually by 4:00am, those who have completed their registration and are kitted in white camp kits must head to the parade ground for the very first parade.

WELCOME TO NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS
The Management of National Youth Service Corps welcomes all Prospective Corps Members to our camps nationwide as we commence the 2021 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course today.

We congratulate you on the successful completion of your various academic pursuits and subsequent mobilization for the one year National Service.

While you are adjusting to life in camp, I want to assure you that your welfare will always be accorded paramount consideration. The NYSC operates a 24-hour Clinic on camp, superintended over by Consultants from Federal tertiary health institutions.

Avail yourselves of the services of the facility and endeavour to declare your health status to enable appropriate management of your condition. You must desist from indulging in self-medication.

It is pertinent to remind you that though life in NYSC camp is regimented, the Management of the NYSC will do its best to ensure that you experience minimum discomfort and make your experience memorable.

The Orientation Course has been packaged to, among other things, introduce you to the objectives and programmes of the NYSC Scheme; prepare you for the challenges of service year and post-service life; as well as acquaint you with your new socio-cultural environment as Corps Members.
While in camp, you will be introduced to series of extra-curricular camp activities that are very exciting, rewarding and memorable.

These include Leadership Lectures, Entrepreneurial Training, Parade Drills, Man ‘O’ War Training, Social and Cultural activities, Sports, Inter-Platoon Skills Competition amongst others.

Ensure that you participate actively in these activities and comport yourselves as matured youths.
Cooperate with Camp Officials and obey all rules and regulations governing your stay in camp.
In case you need any assistance or clarification especially with regards to the verification/registration exercise, do not hesitate to approach any of our officers at the registration desks or your Platoon Officers after registration.

I also wish to remind you that as ambassadors of your families and alma maters, you must not engage in unwholesome acts that can tarnish the image of the people and institutions you represent.

You must therefore shun cultism and other social vices as NYSC has zero tolerance for such and other dishonourable groups.

You are admonished to beware of fraudsters who might use any medium especially on the new media to misguide you to pay for services which the NYSC renders free of charge.

You are hereby reminded that NYSC does not charge money for posting and redeployment of Corps Members during and after Orientation Camp.

In conclusion, I welcome you all once more into the NYSC family. Always remember that your success during the service year starts here in camp.

As you document, endeavor to give accurate data and information in the certificate formats given to you to avoid errors which may reflect in your Certificate of National Service at the end of the service year.
