RSUST 40th Matriculation Ceremony Date: This is to inform the general public that Rivers State University (RSU) formerly Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) Matriculation Ceremony Date, Time and Venue for Freshers/Newly Admitted Students for 2021/2022 Academic Session is out online. see more below

The Management of the Rivers State University hereby invites the general public and the entire University Community to their 40th Matriculation Ceremony for freshers/newly admitted students for the 2021/2022 academic session.

RSUST 40th Matriculation Ceremony Date 2021/2022 [Freshmen]

  • Date: Wednesday 18th May, 2022
  • Time: 9am Prompt
  • Venue: Rivers State University Convocation Arena.

NOTE: All Newly admitted students are to attend the Matriculation is it is a per-requisite for all students newly admitted into the institution.

All Guest must be seated before the arrival of the Vice Chancellor and commencement of the Matriculation Ceremony.

All registered fresh students are therefore expected to collect academic gowns from their Faculty Officers with the following:

  • Evidence of payment of Acceptance Fee and other fees/charges
  • Two current passport photographs
  • Provision of on-line admission letter, residential address and phone number


Collection of Academic Gowns shall commence onĀ Friday, 13th May, 2022.

All Matriculating students must return their academic gowns unfailingly on Friday 20th May, 2022 or pay a penalty of N2,000 (two thousand naira) per way for any default up till one week. Thereafter, the website will be closed for such students and can only be re-opened on payment of a Penalty Fee of N5,000.00 (Five Thousand naira).
